Candidate Statement

I’m a design and marketing executive with over two decades of experience leading teams and shaping strategies for some of the world’s most recognized and innovative companies. My background spans marketing, technology, healthcare, sustainable energy, and e‑commerce. Throughout my career, I’ve managed multimillion‑dollar budgets, increased revenue, and saved companies millions of dollars through creative solutions. My experience in design, marketing, and technology has taught me how to drive growth responsibly — skills I’ll use to help Indian Wells attract tourism and strengthen revenue to ensure that it remains one of California’s most financially sound cities.

 

I’ve served four terms on the City of Richmond Design Review Board, providing design direction on residential, commercial, public, and multi‑use projects to ensure design quality and safety across neighborhoods and commercial spaces. That work helped projects align with community standards and long‑term city goals, experience I will bring to continue elevating our community and improving quality of life.

 

As a lifetime member and former advisory committee member of the Indian Wells Preservation Foundation, I’m deeply committed to protecting our city’s heritage and character. Here in Indian Wells, I’ve shown that commitment by working closely with city leaders and residents to preserve our architectural legacy and enhance our shared spaces. Locally, I’ve done the following:

 

• Supported and collaborated on Fairway Park on El Dorado and Fairway Drive

• Participated in Planning Commission meetings for Safer Streets

• Partnered with the city to receive the first Indian Wells Cultural Designation for my home

• Partnered with the city and Planning Commission to be the first resident to go into contract for The Mills Act

• Was the very first designation in Indian Wells to be approved to be on the National Register of Historic Places, Department of the Interior, National Park Services 

 

These efforts reflect my dedication to progress with integrity and to keeping Indian Wells iconic.

 

If elected, I will:

 

• Be a steward of our city

• Keep Indian Wells fiscally strong

• Improve transparency by clearly communicating the purpose and rationale behind key decisions

• Champion a “Residents First” approach to city leadership

• Advance strategic planning to be more strategic and aligned with the General Plan

• Prioritize public safety and our quality of life

• Preserve our architectural and cultural heritage

 

It would be an honor to serve this community and help ensure Indian Wells continues to thrive as one of the most exceptional cities in the United States. Together, let’s keep Indian Wells iconic.
